IT Administrator, Streaming Media Department

SharpStream are one of the UK’s foremost streaming media companies, delivering over 1.5 million radio and TV streams a week.

You will be working with our Streaming Media Manager to maintain our content delivery network.

Responsibilities include:

• Liaison with customers
• Routine server maintenance
• Monitoring server-side infrastructure
• Deployment of new streams
• Development and implementation of new technologies

You will need knowledge and experience of the following:

• DHCP, DNS and IP
• Microsoft server 2000, 2003 (& 2008 preferable)
• MP3, MP4, WMA, WMV, M4A file types
• Linux operating systems
• Routers, switches, hubs and port forwarding
• Programming languages such as HTML, PHP, ASP, C++, C#
• SNMP and other monitoring protocols
• Computer hardware
• SBS, Exchange, Active Directory
• Microsoft Office

You will be expected to have a good level of both written and verbal language, a full clean driving licence and your own transport.

Sales Manager

Duties

• Directly responsible for actively promoting the sales of Radica products and services together with those of third party equipment manufacturers represented by the Company;
• Responsible for customer contact; initial sales enquiries; producing quotations and closing sales;
• Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and the development of marketing strategies;
• Responsible for maintaining, achieving and exceeding targets for turnover and profitability as set by the Board of Directors;
• Responsible, in association with the department manager where appropriate, for producing sales and marketing plans on a regular basis for each area of the business;
• Responsible for producing sales forecasts on a monthly basis;
• Responsible for producing monthly reports showing sales prospects in department;
• Prioritising and delegating appropriate tasks to other members of the team to maximise time management;
• Responsible for the organisation and running of regular sales meetings: creating reports and encouraging creative input into the meetings;
• Liaising with the company’s various product managers to maintain and develop their revenue streams;
• The design and production of adverts, sales literature and press releases;
• Working closely with the Sales Administration team to build an effective sales force;
• Maintaining regular contact with the company’s customer, suppliers and principles;
• Attending, as deemed necessary, various trade shows and exhibitions to promote the Company and its products and services;
• Required to acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the Company’s products and services together with those of third party equipment manufacturers represented by the Company;
• Required to keep abreast of any developments made in the industry and by the competition;
• Reporting to the Board of Directors on a regular basis;
