Helping to provide this peace of mind is the Davicom MAC Telemetry System, supplied by Radica, which gives a central monitoring point for transmission sites globally. From their control room in Bush House, these sites are monitored 24/7 using the Davicom MAC system. The Davicom MAC is in use for everything from transmitter fault control to antenna pattern changing.
Central management software in Bush House uses a main/reserve system to alert staff of problems at sites. An annual support contract ensures this software is working to its optimum level. VT staff have built-up an extensive knowledge of the Davicom MAC Telemetry System allowing ever-more complex installations.
Dedicated support by Radica staff allows problem solving and programming questions to be at the end of a telephone. "We use the Davicom MAC for everything from transmitter control to fault reporting to our local engineers and Bush House" says VT Communications Network and Control Systems engineer, Tony Galvagni. "With sites as far away as Thailand and the Seychelles accurate and reliable monitoring and control is vital."
Alan Brown from Radica Broadcast Systems Ltd. is just as enthusiastic about the power of the Davicom Mac system. "We are proud of the relationship we have established with VT Communications and strive to give first class customer support to their team of engineers across the globe."
